This month the Advanced Telerobotics Research laboratory traveled to Tokyo, Japan to demonstrated the first iteration of their humanoid telepresence robot, Telebot2, at the World Robot Summit. This iteration of the robot was designed to tackle Plant Disaster and Prevention tasks similar to those required during the unfortunate Fukushima disaster event.
