My name is Alfred Shaker, I’m from Egypt and I’ve been going to KSU since 2011. During that time I have completed my Bachelor’s in Computer Science, with a game development concentration, and a Master of Science in Computer Science and my research focus being parallel and distributed computing, with a published thesis. I am now pursuing my PhD and working with Dr. Kim in his ATR Lab.
I also participated in a lot of hackathons where I created various applications and projects, my specialty however is developing VR games and experiences. I am very passionate about creating exciting and innovative VR experiences. I enjoy working in game engines with these various devices to create VR/AR games and push the boundaries of what technology can achieve in terms of immersion, creativity, overall enjoyment, and the real world impact of the applications. I am very excited to be a part of this research that will help people using the power and magic of VR/AR experiences.
