This month the Advanced Telerobotics Research laboratory traveled to Tokyo, Japan to demonstrated the first iteration of their humanoid telepresence robot, Telebot2, at the World Robot Summit. This iteration of the robot was designed to tackle Plant Disaster and Prevention tasks similar to those required during the unfortunate Fukushima disaster event. On Friday October 27th the ATR Lab had the privilege to demo many of our recent robotic projects at the student center for the IAB Conference. The Advanced Telerobotics Research Laboratory Team had a strong showing at this past weekend's SkyHackathon at Kent State University. From the evening of Friday October 13th thru the afternoon of Sunday October 15th, we competed against scores of brilliant students from over a dozen universities.
