Program Overview

The ATR Lab Summer Internship Program provides selected high school students with hands-on exposure to research projects in artificial intelligence, robotics, and physical AI systems. Students will work with ATR Lab members on assigned projects and learn how research ideas are developed, tested, and presented.

The program is designed as a non-paid educational and research experience. The expected internship period is from June to August 14, but the duration and schedule may be adjusted depending on each student’s availability and assigned project.

This is a non-paid internship. Applicants should clearly acknowledge this in their application materials.

Available Project Areas

Applicants should rank their project preferences and briefly explain why they are interested in each selected area.

Medical AI Project

AI-based analysis, data processing, and intelligent support tools for medical and healthcare-related applications.

Physical AI Coworker

Physical AI agents that assist humans in real-world tasks through perception, decision-making, and robotic interaction.

Educational Robotics

Robotics systems, tutorials, and learning tools for STEM education, outreach, and hands-on robotics activities.

AI Animal Care System

AI-enabled monitoring, sensing, and automation concepts to support animal care, observation, and wellbeing.

Orientation

Only selected applicants will be invited to attend the orientation session.
